A New Way to Sunday Brunch in Downtown Tigard!

Downtown Tigard is the location of Oregon’s first Sangria Bar!

This past weekend, my hubby and I went on an early afternoon bicycle ride to downtown Tigard on an expedition to find a place to do Sunday brunch. We were so stoked to find out that the Harvest Moon Sangria Bar was open for business! We quickly secured our bicycles to the bike racks right out front and went inside to check it out. Trust me when I say that it did not disappoint. From atmosphere to service, this place is a gem and checks all the boxes.✔️

Location

The Harvest Moon Sangria Bar is located on SW Main Street in downtown Tigard, Oregon directly across the street from Cooper Mountain Ale Works. Fanno Creek Trail runs adjacent to the bar. Consequently, this makes it a convenient Sunday brunch spot for locals. When you’re finished with food and drinks, you can go explore Fanno Creek Trail or check out downtown. One of my favorite shopping spots, Curiosities Vintage Mall, is located across the street catty-corner from the bar!

Atmosphere & Service

We entered the bar, where we were immediately greeted by Juliana, the owner of the Harvest Moon Sangria Bar, who happily handed us menus and then told us about their brunch specials and drinks. She invited us to sit wherever we’d like, then immediately grabbed us an ice water while we looked over the menu. Tom Petty was playing on the stereo and the bar’s interior was cheery and serene with breezy coral walls accented with artwork from local artist Alexis Thompson. There are perfectly placed string lights and eye-catching faux stained glass ceiling tiles hung periodically throughout the bar. The vibe was welcoming and warm.

Drinks

The crafted cocktails served up at the alluringly named Harvest Moon Sangria Bar are next level! There are so many unique flavor options to choose from. If you have trouble deciding, I recommend getting the flight where you can indulge and pick three. The drinks are aesthetically presented and garnished in glass tumblers. My hubby and I each got our own flight, so we could sample six in total. They were all dangerously delicious but my personal favorite was the Watermelon Basil. It’s just so damn good and refreshing! The Flower Sour is up there at the top too. In addition to it’s pleasant flavor, I love that it’s garnished with petals! 🌸

Food

The sangria isn’t the only thing poppin at Harvest Moon Sangria Bar, the food is to dance in your seat for! Creatively paired ingredients with a comfort food quality. The distinctive Sunday brunch menu has several enticing options. Although I wanted to try one of everything, my hubby and I went with the Jammin Sandwich and Trinas Wrap. Both amazing and bursting with flavors!

The Jammin Sandwich is bacon, egg, garlic aioli, jam, and pepper jack cheese perfectly placed on a sesame bun. The flavors all mesh together so well with each bite somehow better than the last. Trinas Wrap is a savory breakfast wrap packed with scrambled eggs, chorizo, bacon, bell peppers, mushroom, caramelized onions, cabbage, green onion, and garlic aioli. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.

That’s a wrap!!

In conclusion, Oregon’s first sangria bar is pretty perfect! Five out of five stars and sure to be a Tigard local favorite!! The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service were all on point. If you get a chance, don’t sleep on trying this place out. I anticipate that as word spreads about this gem, people will be lined up outside the door waiting for a chance to get in on the yummy goodness.
