Tina Mae has a background in digital communications and attended OSU-OKC studying Business and Composition Writing. She grew up in southwest Georgia and moved to Oklahoma City (OKC) as a teen. She was involved in promoting various punk and rock shows (circa 1995) by helping to create and distribute flyers around OKC. In 2005, she opened an online shop specializing in subculture fashion, showcasing some custom pieces sewn on her cherished 1948 Singer sewing machine, an heirloom from her grandmother. She received awards for her work at the Oklahoma State Fair and from dress designer Mary Adam’s for The Apron Dress Contest.
With a love for the beach, Tina and her family relocated to Pensacola, FL in 2013. Shortly after, she closed her online business and now works in digital communications. In 2020, Tina moved to the PNW and currently lives in Portland, Oregon. She enjoys exploring the coast, camping, and indulging in the vast array of cuisines the PNW has to offer. She also enjoys regularly volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society, where she walks dogs and engages with them in enrichment activies. She started this lifestyle blog as a creative outlet and to document and share some of her life’s adventures.
