Athena Club Promises Smoother Days Ahead.
While on a Target run the other day, I passed a pretty display of Barbie Pool Party edition Athena Club razors placed on an end cap. Since I was in the market for a new razor and had just heard about Athena Club on a Two Hot Takes podcast, I thought I’d try it out! In this post, I take you through my Athena Club razor experience, from unboxing and highlighting features to sharing my honest take. I hope you enjoy the read!!
Packaging & Unboxing
The Athena Club Barbie Pool Party edition razor comes attractively packaged in a bright pink box with shimmering aqua blue contrast replicating sparkling pool water. Admittedly, the packaging is what initially caught my eye. The matching razor comes secured inside the box resting on the accompanying magnetic hook used for hanging. After removing the razor and hook from the package, you’ll find the extra blade secured underneath the package insert. Installation instructions are on the back panel inside of the box.
Installing
Installing the magnetic hook is simple and can be done in minutes. First, decide where to hang your razor in your shower or tub, and make sure the area you pick is clean and dry. Next, ensure the logo on your magnetic hook hanger is facing up, then peel the protective cover from the sticky backing. Secure the hook to your shower wall, holding it in place for several seconds to allow the bond to stick. Finally, place your razor on the magnet hook cradle. Voila!! You’re all done!
Features & Handle
The Athena Club Razor has a lightweight aluminum handle with a non-slip silicone cover that fits comfortably in your hand. I found the quality more substantial than other leading brand disposable razors made primarily of cheap plastic. A moisturizing hyaluronic acid serum strip is featured on the flexible 5-blade razor head to help prevent bumps and irritation. Consequently, your legs are left feeling silky smooth. The razor blade head comes covered with a reusable sheath to keep the blades safely covered while not in use.
Cost & Refills
The Athena Club Razor Kit is available at most retailers for around $10. The kit includes one razor handle, two razor blades, and a magnetic hook for hanging. The Athena Club offers razor blade refills on their website starting at $2.25 each, depending on the quantity ordered and delivery frequency. After trying the product and feeling the results, I signed up to receive eight new blades every four months at $2.75 a blade, totaling $22. I can testify that the Athena Club razor lives up to the promise of Smoother Days Ahead. My legs are loving it, and so is my budget! I’m impressed by the quality of the product and how it left my legs feeling silky smooth. Another plus is that Athena Club promises on its website that you won’t find any harsh chemicals, dyes, or additives in their products – only the most natural and sustainable ingredients!!
